COURSE INFORMATION
- The course you have chosen is Nationally Accredited and Recognised.
- It is competency based training.
- You will be require to complete each unit of competency
- You will be assessed on each unit of competency prior to the issue of any certification.
- The course has been developed by Advanced Careers College and the Australian National Training Authority.
- Accreditation and industry recognition is an absolute must to guarantee yourself employment at the conclusion of your course.
- Please ensure you read the assessment guidelines prior to completing your tasks.
- If at any time you wish to change your studies to full time face to face, we may be able convert your course and allow full recognition of prior learning

How does it work?
- Once you have enrolled we will assign you a personal mentor who will be responsible for your progress throughout your course.
- It will be your mentor’s responsibility to assess all your work as you progress.
- Your mentor will be able to assess your strengths and identify and improve your weaknesses. This will bring you to a level of competence where you will have all the necessary skills and confidence to pursue your dream.
- All learning gaps are identified.
Time frame for completion
Correspondence learning is a self paced flexible learning option. It allows you to study in your own time anywhere that suits you! Many other training institutions provide similar learning options, although it is our completion success rate that is important to you.
The following is a brief guide of how Advanced Careers College manage our correspondence division. • All Certificate II and III level studies must be completed within a twelve month period.
- All Certificate IV and Diploma level studies must be completed within a twenty four month period.
- At commencement of each unit of competency or subject area, you will be given a suggested timeline for completion. This is encouraged for continuity in your studying.
- Your mentor will contact you at the commencement of the course. A personal goal will be discussed between you and your mentor.
- You will be given a three month period to complete each unit of competency, however, if you need this time frame for each unit or subject area, you will not meet all the necessary guidelines for a full certificate or diploma. (This means that if you use three months to complete one unit of competency, you will then have a more intense work load the following months).
- We understand that our professional and personal life is important, so if you require and extension or deferment, you must provide the College with a letter and explanation. You will be notified if approved.
