Business Administration
The training provided by Advanced Careers College is directly related to immediate job opportunities and also directed towards the acquisition of durable and recognised skills for the labour market.
At the completion of this course, students will possess the qualifications necessary to hold positions such as senior executive assistant, office manager/supervisor, business administrator.
A hands-on approach is given to all training, utilising competency based training and proven learning strategies. Units used in this program have been approved by NSW VETAB (Vocational education and Training Accreditation Board) and will include units from the revised National Training Package for Business Services. The completion of this qualification will enable you gain credit towards other business qualifications.
COURSE REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of Year 12 or equivalent/mature age entry
- An interest in all office administration procedures
- Appropriate references
- Must be able to read, comprehend, and write complex information in English
- Personal interview (if under 18 years old with a parent/guardian preferred)
- Successful completion of literacy/numeracy assessment

It is a requirement of this qualification that all students complete 1 week work experience within the Business Services industry. It is recommended that each student find their own placement, with the support of their trainer. All diploma students will attend work experience the same week. Each student will be visited in the workplace by their trainer of Head of Faculty. An evaluation will be completed by both the student and the manager of the placement organisation.
